God Knows You! Do You Want to Know Him?

Do you know you are known by God?

Yes, God knows you.

God, the Creator of the Universe, knows you, and every “you” who ever was, is, or will live.

How do I know?

The Bible tells me so.

God Knows You

The Creator of the Universe knows everything about you – at any time and in any place.

1 O LORD, You have searched me and known me. 2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar. 3 You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And are intimately acquainted with all my ways. 4 Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O LORD, You know it all. 5 You have enclosed me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me.                                        Psalm 139:1-5 NASB

The Creator of the Universe knows you.

3 but if anyone loves God, he is known by Him.                                                 1 Corinthians 8:3 NASB

19 Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness.”                                                 2 Timothy 2:19 NASB

The Creator of the Universe knows you in your innermost being.

13 For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb.

15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; 16 Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them.                                                         Psalm 139:13-16 NASB

5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”                                                   Jeremiah 1:5 NASB

The Creator of the Universe knows you better than you know yourself.

27 He [God’s Spirit] knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. 28 That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good. 29 God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in him. 30 After God made that decision of what his children should be like, he followed it up by calling people by name. After he called them by name, he set them on a solid basis with himself. And then, after getting them established, he stayed with them to the end, gloriously completing what he had begun.                                                          Romans 8:27-30 The Message

[Compare to Romans 8:27-30 NASB]

The Creator of the Universe knows what you need before you do.

8 “So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.                                            Matthew 6:8 NASB

31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.                                                        Matthew 6:31-32 NASB

The Creator of the Universe will provide what you need.

11 “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!                                                 Matthew 7:11 NASB

19 And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.                                                      Philippians 4:19 NASB

The Creator of the Universe will protect you.

10 ‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’                                                            Isaiah 41:10 NASB

1 Contend, O LORD, with those who contend with me; Fight against those who fight against me.                                                           Psalm 35:1 NASB

Do you know the Creator of the Universe?

Do you want to know the Creator of the Universe?

You can.

All you have to do is to say “Yes.”

Accept the Truth

“I accept the Truth of my sinfulness.”

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,                                               Romans 3:23 NASB

8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.                                     Romans 5:8 NASB

Confess the Truth

“I accept the Truth of Jesus as my Savior.”

31 “He is the one whom God exalted to His right hand as a Prince and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.                                                           Acts 5:31 NASB

“I am saved by Grace and not by any works of my own.”

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast                                                                 Ephesians 2:8-9 NASB

“I accept the Truth of Jesus as my Lord.”

9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord , and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;                                                   Romans 10:9 NASB

“I submit myself in obedience to the authority of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.”

14 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, 15 but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; 16 because it is written, “YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.”                                     1 Peter 1:14-16 NASB

2 according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be yours in the fullest measure.                                                           1 Peter 1:2 NASB

Receive the Spirit of Truth

“I open myself and receive the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth.

16 “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; 17 that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.                                              John 14:16-17 NASB

26 “When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me,                                                                 John 15:26 NASB

“I submit my will, my way, to the transforming power of the in-dwelling Spirit.”

7 Submit therefore to God.                                                                                      James 4:7a NASB

32 And we are witnesses of these things; and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him.”                                                   Acts 5:32 NASB

16 “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; 17 that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.                                        John 14:16-17 NASB

“Through the Holy Spirit, I receive true life – zōḗ life – Eternal Life.”

24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.                                      John 5:24 NASB

8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.                                                   Galatians 6:8 NASB

Dear one,

God desires for you to know Him and to know you are known by Him.

The Father wants you to love Him, and receive His love.

19 We love, because first loved us.                                                                                        1 John 4:19 NASB

YeHoVaH wants you to trust Him, and believe in His faithfulness, even if you are unfaithful.

9 God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.                                                          1 Corinthians 1:9 NASB

Jesus wants you to respond to His commandments out of your love for Him, and not merely because it’s a requirement.

15 “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.                              John 14:15 NASB

Yeshua wants your submission to His Lordship be a response out of your love for Him, and not mere compliance, an “ought to” or “must do.”

10 so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father..                                          Philippians 2:10-11 NASB

The Spirit wants to help you be other-focused, not self-focused.

3 Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; 4 do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. 5 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,                                                           Philippians 2:3-5 NASB

The Spirit wants to help you to be forgiving, and not bitter and begrudging.

12 ‘And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 ‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.’] 14 “For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 “But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.                                                                    Matthew 6:12-15 NASB

Yes, the Creator of the Universe is more than any human can comprehend.

20 Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, 21 to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.                                                Ephesians 3:20-21 NASB

But

He has revealed Himself to us.

10 For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. 11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, 13 which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words                                                 1 Corinthians 2:10-13 NASB

16 By common confession, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory.                                                  1 Timothy 3:16 NASB

We who are made in His image, can know Him and are known by Him.

17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.                                                             Ephesians 1:17 NASB

Do you know Him?

Begin (or deepen) your relationship with Him today!

Be a Berean!

10The brothers immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived they went into the Jewish synagogue. 11 Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.                   Acts 17:10, 11 ESV

One thought on “God Knows You! Do You Want to Know Him?

  1. Loved reading and re-confirming His love for me as well as I am “known” so intimately by my Creator.
